For the “Mixtecs”, the jewelers of Mexico in the state of Oaxaca, around the year 800, gold, extracted from rivers, represented the essence of the sun… The embroidered Mexicas fabric pays tribute to this work of jewelry as imposing as precious and finely crafted. Around the shades of gold, we find those of turquoise, jade and amber. Embroidery works in two different ways to create sometimes tight stitches, sometimes a kind of small metal mesh. Striking both in the colors and in the embroidered reflections.
